Miss Spider

This costume required illusion mesh on the arms and back of the costume. Using a Pantone skin tone, I dyed samples of the mesh in a pot then scaled it to dye yardage in the dye vat.

Resist Dyeing

Shibori dye- Rit synthetic indigo

Skills include: skin tone matching, reactive dyes, acid dyes, vat dying, silk painting, resist dyeing including batik and shibori, and obmre.
